Browns Select Mason Graham After Trading Down in 2025 NFL Draft

The Cleveland Browns made a strategic move early in the 2025 NFL Draft, trading down from the No. 2 overall pick to No. 5 in a deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars. That decision brought them extra draft capital and still allowed them to land their target—Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham.
Graham, a 6-foot-3, 318-pound force on the interior line, brings high-level production and tenacity to Cleveland’s defensive front. In his final season at Michigan, Graham posted 45 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, and 5 sacks. Known for his explosiveness off the snap and ability to disrupt plays in the backfield, he earned First-Team All-Big Ten honors and was a finalist for the Outland Trophy.
The Browns add a cornerstone piece to their defensive line while gaining valuable picks for the future. Graham projects as an immediate impact player and a potential long-term anchor up front.
