If you recently bought pork ribs from Aldi in Northeast Ohio, double-check your fridge. A national USDA health alert includes products sold right here in Cleveland.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture issued a public health warning for Park Street Deli Hawaiian Style Boneless Pork Ribs. The ready-to-eat pork may be undercooked, even though it looks fully cooked.

The affected product comes in 12-ounce vacuum-sealed packages. Each package has a “use by” date of April 17, 2025 and the establishment number “EST. 44567” inside the USDA mark.

Shoppers in Cleveland could have picked up this item at local Aldi locations. The grocery chain has already pulled the product from shelves.

Officials say the pork may pose a serious health risk if eaten without additional cooking. So far, the USDA hasn’t received any confirmed reports of illness. Still, they urge customers not to eat it.

Instead, throw it away or return it to your nearest Aldi store for a refund.

Clevelanders have praised Aldi’s meat deals for years, but this alert serves as a reminder to always check labels and cook meat thoroughly. The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service will continue monitoring the situation.
