Bronny James received MVP chants from the road crowd in the Lakers’ blowout win against the Washington Wizards.
Bronny snagged a career-high in minutes and points Thursday night as the Lakers knocked off the Wizards, 134-96. Bronny played the entire fourth quarter after the Lakers built a huge lead through the first three.
“He did a lot of really good things tonight. I thought he made a couple of really nice passes,” Lakers coach JJ Reddick said after the game.
It was another step in the right direction for the oldest son of LeBron James.
The Wizards have now lost 16 games in a row, tying their franchise record.
LeBron led the purple and gold with 24 points. Anthony Davis sat out with an abdominal muscle strain.
Bronny, who went 1 for 6 on the night, got MVP chants from the Wizards crowd after knocking down a free throw with just a few minutes left in the game. He went 3-3 from the free throw line and chipped in with 2 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal.
This was the second time this season that the Wizards lost 16 straight games. The Lakers, on the other hand, have won 5 of their last 6.
The NBA All-Star break is quickly approaching and takes place between February 14-16. Unfortunately for Bronny James fans, he’s declined to play in the NBA Rising Stars Challenge that will take place that weekend.
