Dayton, Ohio is the latest city affected by mysterious, low-flying drones.
Reports of “clusters or drone-like objects flying low” were called in over the weekend in Ohio. Similar reports have surfaced in several eastern states over the last few days.
The Wright-Patterson Air Force base in Dayton is the latest town to spot the scary objects.
From FOX 8:
Sunday the base confirmed its airspace was closed for four hours on Friday night and early Saturday because of small unmanned aerial systems being spotted in the vicinity. This shutdown meant that no airplanes were allowed in and out of the base. Wright-Patterson officials did not divulge the altitude at which the systems were flying, but they said they ranged in different shapes and sizes.
It’s important to note there appears to be no safety concert coming from the air base.
In a statement by Wright-Patterson Public Affairs Chief Robert Purtiman, he said, “Installation leadership has determined none of the incursions impacted our base, our residents, our facilities or our assets.”
Reports of drones appearing over New Jersey began in mid-November. New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy posted his concerns on social media. “The public deserves clear answers,” Murphy said on X, “we will keep pushing the federal government for more information and resources.”
Several government agencies, including local authorities and the FBI, are looking into the situation.
