WASHINGTON, DC (CNN) – The federal minimum wage takes center stage Wednesday in Washington, DC.

President Barack Obama, fresh off his week-long trip to Asia, will push for an increase from $7.25 to $10.10.

Democrats appear to be making this an election-year issue, while conceding they probably don’t have the votes.
