Drunk driver hits construction workers along I-77 near Wallings Road
The Ohio Department of Transportation confirms that three construction workers were hit by a car Thursday evening.
The accident happened around 8:30 p.m. on I-77 near Wallings Road.
Patricia Wieckowski was charged with driving drunk through a construction zone and hitting three ODOT workers putting one in the hospital.
One of the workers was rushed to MetroHealth with a possible broken leg.
The accident happened on I-77 South near Pleasant Valley just as crews called it quits and took down the warning signs.
Police say the beer the 19 year old Wieckowski threw out was a 24 ounce can of Milwaukee’s Best.
